Is it true that the most important thing about you is that you understand your belovedness (how much you are loved) regardless of who you are or what you believe in?
my first reaction is that without a doubt this question of "am i loved" "am i loveable" is the most important thing about all of us, and my second reaction is that it definitely is.
This question is asked early for all of us and even now whether we verbalize it or not.Its answered for all of us first by our parents. we find out what love is through them, and i think, whether you believe in Him or not, find out about Gods love through them also.
I think this question is then asked continually throughout school/life and when the answer is "YES!...YOU ARE LOVED" these are the moments of joy we remember. Its moment of feeling loved that stick out to us the most right? think of them now, about what you liked growing up,whats sticks out.... Every great moment you can think of probably revolves around feeling loved. These great moments come in the form of compliments, hugs, kisses, birthday cards, quality time, laughing, etc. Its these moments that make life great.
When the answer to this question is "NO!!! YOU ARE NOT LOVED" seems to be the source of all the painful moments of our life..All the times of not being accepted come to mind, every rejection, every time being made fun of, the feeling of loneliness and being unwanted, mistreated, abused, hurt, etc.
So now i think all of life is lived in between those highs and lows. I think its true that most people probably wake up in the morning and eithe know they are loved....and because of that they are able to be free, truly free.
Im afraid, however, that most people wake up and think that they are really not that great or special and certainly not worthy of being loved unconditionally...alll they know is the conditional love......so this mass group of people become determined to earn being loved....so they go to school and get A's (because then i'lll get a hug from mom and the kids at school will say im smart), they'll play sports to get dad's approval ( because this will make my dad proud of me),they'll makes themselves as beautiful as possible(so people will desire them and so they will get attention).etc..
would have been fasteter to say yes.....i think its true
